Trafficking Justice Prayer Requests April 2018

Psalm 145: 1-6 “I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever. Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever. Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts. They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty and I will meditate on your wonderful works. They tell of the power of your awesome works and I will proclaim your great deeds.”

•Pray for our Outreach Team: doing training as they begin to prepare to contact and connect with women in the industry.
•Pray for our residents as they continue to learn about their identity in Christ and find healing!
•Pray for staff to be wise with our time!
•Pray for the future residents as we will have openings soon. Pray that they would be ready to be in a structured program and be part of the Annex community.
•Pray for direction in who to talk with, we are wanting to expand our network.
•Pray for the women in the clubs. Even if they aren’t being trafficked, they are in the sex industry. Pray that they would know God’s love and learn that there are other ways to make money. Pray for people to bring light into these dark places.

Whispers of Hope

•Praise God for our ministry partners - other ministries we network with to meet the needs of women. Each ministry has a different focus, but together we can help get a woman to the place that best fits her needs. We are all doing Kingdom work!
•Praise God for His Word that helps us minister to women who are suffering. Having a solid understanding of what God says about suffering in life is such an encouragement to women who feel they have been rejected or forgotten by their Father.

Prayer Requests:
•Please pray that we would continue to seek the Lord in the details of our work at Whispers. It is so easy to think we have the answers but we want God’s answers, in God’s timing.
•Please pray for our recent Intensive guest. It is quite an adjustment to go from the quiet farm back to a life that is so demanding. Please pray for the women who connected her to us as they help her to grow in her relationship with the Lord.
•Please pray for our upcoming Executive Board meeting! We are so thankful for these men and women who share our heart for Whispers of Hope. They continue to get to know one another and familiarize themselves with the details of the ministry.
•Please pray for the many women who are inquiring about our services. Their needs vary but all desire support and encouragement.

Long-term prayer requests:
•Please continue to pray that God would keep us on our knees, totally dependent on Him.
•Please continue to pray that women in need would hear of Whispers of Hope.
•Please continue to pray that God would be glorified through the motivations, words and actions of the staff and other volunteers.
•Please continue to pray that the mortgage (just over $225,000) would be paid off on the existing 7-acre farm.

Beautiful and Loved

•Pray for these strong, beautiful women. Pray for their safety, health, well-being, for wisdom, guidance and prosperity. Pray that they would come to know and treasure the love of God in Christ.
•Pray for wisdom, guidance, and protection for our outreach team. Pray that more Spirit-empowered workers would be sent into the harvest.
•Pray for the people in the city. Pray that the love of Jesus would be so prevalent in the hearts of the people in the Twin Cities that there isn't a demand for this industry

Breaking Free

•Pray for healing to continue to take place and restoration in hope for the future.
•Pray for financial support to aid those coming out of the life.
•Pray for leaders and volunteers to have strength and wisdom through this time after the super bowl.

Trafficking Justice

•Please pray for wisdom as we begin a series of initiatives to increase our effectiveness as an organization. Pray for guidance and a clear understanding of priorities and strategy.
•Please pray for us as we formulate strategies for raising funds for this cause. Now that we are a 501c3 non-profit, we have more options. Pray that people will give as God leads them and we will use the funds to maximum effectiveness.
•Praise God for opportunities to speak in churches and schools to teens and/or parents in February through March! •Please pray for wisdom and effectiveness as we engage youth to be wise and wary for themselves and their peers. •Please also pray for even more opportunities in the coming months.
•We have an opportunity to address Pornography as a major driver of sexual exploitation and trafficking at a local church. Please pray for the men to be open to hear and willing to be champions in "de-normalizing" this scourge on both men and women.
•Please continue to pray that many hundreds of people will come our Freedom Weekend Event in April and solidify their knowledge and involvement in the cause. Pray especially for our Prayer Breakfast on April 20th, that many Pastors and Ministry leaders will feel called by the Lord to attend and become even greater champions for justice!
•Continue to pray for more Christian men to hear God's call for this movement and respond!
•Please pray that we will be able to fill some new staff positions: Legal Advocacy Track Leader, Prevention Track Leader, Treasurer, and Events Director.
